Motorola Edge 40 Pro flagship appears on Google Play Console
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro is expected to launch in the near future, and it just popped up on Google Play Console. This is Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone, in case you are wondering. It’s also a rebranded Motorola Moto X40 handset which launched in China in December.

That being said, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro did appear on Geekbench about a week ago. Now, this Google Play Listing confirms some of the phone’s specs, and also its design.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the device, while the listing mentions that the phone will include 12GB of RAM. It will utilize a display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080, and thanks to the Moto X40, we do know that the screen will measure 6.7 inches. It will also offer a 165Hz refresh rate.
This Google Play Console listing also confirmed that Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device. That’s basically all the spec info that Google Play Console shared. In addition to that, however, we did get an image of the device too.

If you take a look at the image provided below, you’ll see the render in question. It shows us the front side of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. This is clearly the Moto X40. We’ll get a curved display, with a centered display camera hole. All of its physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side.
This phone will also deliver a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto unit. A single 60-megapixel camera will sit on the front.
The device will offer IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. A 4,600mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and the phone will support 125W wired charging. On top of that, 15W wireless charging will be supported, as will 5W reverse wired charging.
You’ll find a set of stereo speakers on the device, and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. Two SIM card slots will be included in the package, and more. The phone is expected to launch soon, but we don’t know when just yet.
