OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G users are now getting Android 13 update

Android 13 update has started rolling out to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. This update carries OxygenOS 13 on top of Android, of course. The update is rolling out to users in India, and users who participated in the Open Beta program will get it first. Others should start getting it soon, though.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is now getting Android 13

Now, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G launched in February last year, so it’s a year old at this point. The phone launched with Android 11 originally, but got its Android 12 update (with OxygenOS 12) back in August.

Well, now Android 13 with OxygenOS 13 is here, and it delivers Aquamorphic Design to the table, along with various optimizations and changes. You’ll also get new personalization options. Upgrades to HyperBoost GPA 4.0, and more.

This update delivers “real-world physical motions to animations to make them look more natural and intuitive”. It also optimizes the widget design, and fonts for better readability.

OnePlus also optimized the system icons by using the latest color scheme to make the icons easier to recognize. Large folders are now an option for the Home screen, and improvements have been made to the Always-On Display too. It now shows more information than ever before.

It also brings more markup tools, and increases security

More markup tools can be used while you’re screenshot editing, while Private Safe has also been optimized, and its security has been increased. The company also added the Dynamic Computing Engine in order to improve the “system speed, stability, battery life, and app experience”.

These are only some changes pulled from the changelog. If you’d like to check out the entire changelog OnePlus shared, click here, and you’ll be taken to the company’s forum post.

Do note that this update is rolling out OTA (Over-The-Air), so your phone will let you know once it’s available. You can also check for it manually. After Open Beta testers get the update, others will start getting it, gradually.
