This is what the Galaxy Z Flip 5 cover display could look like
A recent rumor said that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a larger cover display, and this is what it may look like. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll see what I mean.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 cover display may look like this
This image has been shared by Ice Universe, a well-known tipster. This is not exactly a leaked image, but a representation of what may be. The aforementioned rumor did mention that its cover display will not only be larger than the one on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, but also the one on the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Samsung is obviously planning to make a major change here. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a tiny, 1.9-inch cover display. The OPPO Find N2 Flip, on the other hand, includes a 3.26-inch cover panel. This one will be larger than both, and based on this image, by quite a margin.
It actually looks very similar to what Motorola is planning to offer
If this looks familiar, that’s probably because you’ve seen something similar recently, on a leaked Motorola Razr device. Evan Blass shared a couple of images of the allegedly-upcoming Motorola Razr foldable. That device also has a display that covers virtually the whole front side, in a folded form. The cameras also cut into that display on the Motorola phone, and they do here as well.
As I said in that article, this may look really nice, but it may annoy people. Those cameras could be in the way at times, unless OEMs find a way to keep them out of the UIs way at all times.
Based on this image, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and next-gen Motorola Razr could actually have similar cover display sizes. Ice Universe did say that he’s “in further research” regarding this, but that the image he shared is “very likely” to be the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s design.
